Our History
Nearly a Century of Stewardship
Bangasser & Associates traces its roots to 1940, with one foot on Vashon Island and one in Seattle's Central District — a dual community that still defines who we are.
In the Central District, we are committed to preserving the neighborhood's historically diverse character — stewarding buildings that keep longtime residents, small businesses, and community life rooted as the city changes around them. On Vashon, we look after the storefronts and gathering places that anchor village life.
Across the decades the approach has not changed: buy well, maintain honestly, and treat each building as a long-term trust rather than a transaction. Today the portfolio centers on three Vashon landmarks — Courthouse Square, the JT Sheffield Building, and the Burton Inn — which we invite you to explore below.
